What is Cultural Competency?
The ADAMH system of care continues to be at the forefront of addressing the behavioral health care needs of our community's diverse population. In the past few years, there has been a vast influx of Latino and Somali immigrants and refugees moving to Franklin County. These emerging populations create challenges and opportunities for our network of providers that are responsible for addressing the complex behavioral health needs of these and other diverse communities.
The Cultural Competency Department at ADAMH insures that the ADAMH System of Care is utilizing a variety of methods to ensure that the needs of culturally diverse citizens are addressed appropriately.
